AUSTRALIAN Wallaby and Queensland Reds flyhalf Will Genia paid a special visit to the PostPNG headquarters at Konedobu, Port Moresby, yesterday to promote the company’s mobile SMK service.
The PNG-born rugby union player is the mobileSMK ambassador and Thursday’s visit was his first there.
He met and mingled with
staff of PostPNG before meeting PostPNG chief executive officer Peter Maiden.
Genia spoke about his involvement as a ambassador for PostPNG’s new service.
“I’m proud to be a Papua New Guinean and in my spare time I love coming and visiting the country because I consider PNG my home as I was born and raised here,” said the 23-year-old said.
“I’m proud to be the mobile SMK ambassador and to be part of this great service, which targets grassroots people.
“I even made my first transaction and I think I’m going to send K10 to my father,” he told staff.
Maiden said the company was honoured to have Genia as an
ambassador for the recently launched service.
He said they were delighted to have Genia because he was an outstanding ambassador.
