Rugby tournament to carry out awareness

THE Morobe Rugby Football Union says it will host its Trans-Highway Sevens tournament from Oct 16-17.
Union president Lionel Kamiak said invitation was open to all centres and matches would be played in accordance with strict Covid-19 measures.
“There are K10,000 worth of cash prizes to be won and special awards will also be presented,” he said.
Kamiak said the sevens tournament was aimed at creating awareness on gender-based violence and the pandemic.
“We are also appealing to any business houses that are interested to assist the tournament as it is for a good course,” he said.

He said the registration fee of K550 per team must be deposited into the union’s Bank South Pacific account (No.7019814172).
