Sad to learn we have lost the plot

Letters, Normal

THE fact that K50 million has been lost in highway fraud is a sure sign that our bureaucrats have no guiding principles.
If a system cannot detect a massive fraud like this, then it shows that the problem of being stewards of public funds will not improve.
Ignoring simple principles that govern the moral conscience and practice of the bureaucrats, clan leaders, villagers, etc, show that we are in a mess.
Who will make those who read letters highlighting such issues walk away not feeling any sense of guilt?
A man or woman with no sense of guilt and conscience is worse than an atheist or a pure humanist.
At least atheists or humanists have certain principles they believe in and a sense of morality.
One thing is certain for our nation – children and young people are learning all these immoral attitudes from their corrupt parents, relatives and leaders.
In other words, we are simply breeding the next generation of robbers in our homes, workplaces and bureaucratic systems.
