Safety standard

The National Letters

MY concern is on safety standards which are not being abided to by many private contractors.
I have seen a group of employees working at heights but do not wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as:

  • Hard hats;
  • Safety glasses;
  • Safety boots;
  • Hand gloves; and
  • Safety harnesses.

The concerned authority should look into this matter and award contracts only to companies which comply with safety standards.
