Salesian school holds third meeting

Education

THE Social Communications School of Formation, which was launched on Sept 15, held its third interactive conference last Wednesday.
Attendees were guided through hallmark Salesian texts by Fr Ricardo Campoli Salesian of Don Bosco, a member of the Dicastery.
He asked them to reflect on what their identities as Salesian communicators were.
Organised by the Dicastery of SC from the Generalete in Rome, Italy, the conference brought together 53 delegates from all over the East Asia region plus provincial Salesian communicators.
The Salesian style of communication is to evangelise and educate young people,
Fr Ricardo told the group to come up with a photo composition that would capture each province’s understanding of modern Salesian communication.
Introductions were facilitated by Fr Ambrose Pereira while the general councillor for social communication Fr Gildasio Mendes welcomed the participants.
Fr Ambrose sees Salesian communicators as those who constantly need to “reflect the image of God”.
