CHILDREN at the Alotau General Hospital paediatric ward were showered with gifts when Santa Claus visited them on Christmas.
The special visit to the children’s ward also attracted patients from other wards. Santa Claus had enough gifts for everyone.
Even the mothers at the maternity ward had smiles on their faces when he walked intotheir ward to give out candies.
Alotau International Hotel manageress Miami Shome, who organised the visit, was very happy with the hospital staff who gave their support.
Shome also thanked the Catholic bishop
and his group and the deputy provincial administrator Nimrod Mark for their presence.
Mark called on business houses to follow what the hotel was doing.
It really showed a good working relationship between the provincial government and the hotel, he said.
