Saonu returns after medical treatment

MOROBE Governor Ginson Saonu has returned from Singapore where he had been undergoing medical treatment for the past two weeks.
Saonu said there had been a lot of speculation about his health, especially among the people of Morobe, and he would give details later. Saonu was receiving medical treatment at the Angau Hospital in Lae but had to travel to Singapore when his condition worsened.
“There have been a lot of speculation about me,” he said.
“I want to say that I’m still around and I’m still the governor of Morobe.
“I’m still healthy.
“I will make a full statement after consultation with my doctors.”
He said he was committed to the development of Morobe, especially the giant Wafi-Golpu mine project, for which a memorandum of agreement would be signed soon.
