Sape, Sir Nagora to visit Indian industries

SIR Nagora Bogan and Janet Sapehave been invited by India to visit the country and learn about its industrial sector.
Tax review committee chairman Sir Nagora and Papua New Guinea Women in Business executive director Sape will spend 10 days as part of the Indian High Commission’s distinguished visitors programme.
The programme allows representatives from countries to visit India and to learn how it developed its various sectors.
Sape (pictured) is thankful for the trip, saying it is an opportunity to view first-hand the impact of small-to-medium enterprise on India’s economy and to learn how Indian women in business have contributed to the country’s growth.
Indian High Commissioner to PNG ShriNagendre Kumar Saxena said the two would be meeting Indian Government and business officials.
It includes the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries and the Confederation of Indian Industries.
Representatives from 14 other Pacific countries would also be part of the programme.
Saxena said India, expected to be the fastest growing economy this year, had been very active in supporting its small and medium enterprises to grow which Papua New Guinea could learn from.
He said Indian President Pranab Mukherjee would be visiting the country to establish relations with Papua New Guinea in the development of various sectors. A group of women from the highlands region visited India last year sponsored by the Indian Government.
