Sarawaget has tourism potential

Letters

Sarawaget Track Land Owners Association has 70 clans from 32 villages in three local level governments who share land boundaries in Sarawaget Range of Kabwum, Morobe.
I take this time to thank Heva Honeaki (pikinini Iloko), a clan member and Lands and Surveying lecturer at the University of Technology, to climb third highest and virgin range of Sarawaget to survey the whole range.
He achieved a challenging task by discovering some ideal tourism destination.
Sarawaget Range is located in the heart of Morobe and is positioned as the backbone of Kabwum, Finschhafen, Nawaeb, Huon Gulf, and Raicoast in Madang.
It is a unique range with abundant resources that will attract international tourists and traders.
We hope our political leaders will discover that potential on day.

  • Tourism is a gold mine there but only issue is law and order problem.

    Something to think about.
