Sarkol wins trip to watch Origin III

WHILE the rest of the fans in PNG will be glued to their television screens to watch the State of Origin decider, a lucky man from Mt Hagen, Western Highlands, will have a chance of lifetime watching it live in Brisbane on July 6.
Mark Sarkol was the winner of the first prize, which is a flight for two to Brisbane, to witness the game at the Suncorp Stadium.
The winner of the second major prize is from the Lae branch and gets a cordless power hammer drill worth K2,000.
Other winners will receive State of Origin jerseys and balls as consolation prizes.
Hard Haus marketing manager Stef Dwyer said yesterday that the annual State of Origin promotion was one way the company was giving back to its customers.
Speaking before the draw, Dwyer said the “big thing for us at Hardware Haus is giving the opportunity to the people of PNG to travel to Australia and watch the game they love – rugby league”.
He said they received  a lot of entries in their branches nationwide and the winning entries were sent to Port Moresby for the major draw.
The lucky winner will have K2,000 spending money plus accommodation and airfares paid.
The promotion, which started on May 20, will end on July 10.
The winning entry was drawn yesterday to the give the winner and a companion sufficient time sort out their passport and visa applications. 
Dwyer said there were fantastic bargains for those who missed out and urged them to continue shopping at the Hardware Haus.
