PEOPLE living in the Sikut Matupit resettlement area of Warongoi, in East New Britain, now have access to basic goods and services provided by Super Value Stores and Bank South Pacific.

The companies, with their partnership in going rural, have successfully seen the first rural Supa V Stoa launched in the Sikut Matupit area. This is the first for ENB under this partneship.

The rural Supa V Stoa belongs to Lepan Maliwai and his family, a former employee of OK Tedi Mine.

While speaking on behalf of Bank South Pacific Rabaul branch during the opening of the rural Supa V Stoa at Sikut Matupit, BSP Rabual branch team leader – sales Esther Alman said since the formalisation of the partnership with SVS, BSP had worked tirelessly in ensuring that the recipients of the Supa V Stoas received necessary training to enable them to successfully run their business.
