School fees ‘a hurdle’ for students

Education

SCHOOL fees is a hurdle that stops students from furthering their studies in tertiary institutions, Mapex Training Institute (MTI) director Marcus Kara says.
Kara said parents and sponsors were the important partners for student’s achievement.
“Students are able to attend basic business management and multi-trade skills through our sponsorship partners,” he said.
Kara said parents, provincial governments, district development authorities and business houses had provided sponsorship to students over the years.
“Parents and sponsors are important people as our partners, to rehabilitate, empower and grooming our future generations of leaders.
“We will not come this far without your support.”
He said students attending technical and vocational education training (Tvet) institutions has increased over the years through public private partnership.
