School gets computers, learning booklets

Education

THE Baisu Primary School in Mt Hagen, Western Highland, has received 12 laptops with basic computer-learning booklets from an overseas-based organisation on Friday.
The laptops were given by the Litehaus International from Australia to support education in PNG.
Founder and chairman of Litehaus International Jack Growden and his director of operations Luke Wakeham and Litehaus International PNG agent Cr Peter Raim were welcomed to the school for the presentation.
Growden said the purpose of helping schools is to make sure the standard of education would increase through computers.
He said education was the key to success and Litehaus International has the spirit of giving to support the children of PNG.
Growden said Baisu is the fourth school in the province to receive.
