School gets new bus

THE Don Bosco Secondary School in Vanimo, West Sepik, recently received a new 30-seater school bus, thanks to the Vanimo-Green River development authority.
This follows a recent presentation of a cheque for K455,925.82 by local MP Belden Namah for the purchase of two school buses for schools in his electorate.
The second bus is for Vanimo Secondary School.
Speaking at Don Bosco Secondary School on Monday, Namah urged students and teachers to take good care of the bus and other goods and services that were given to the school.
“This bus is a gift to Don Bosco Secondary School and must be in good care,” he said.
Principal Frank Banak said students and teachers had been using PMV buses to travel to school causing lateness and other associated problems.
“Transportation is a vital service for our students and teachers,” he said.
