THE first education open day for Full Gospel Academy first semester was a success, according to principal Mary Hailai.
Hailai said the open day was to close off the first semester with various items presented by the levels one to eight and also the adult literacy.
Items presented included individual reading in English which involved children between the ages of five to seven years.
She said the learning level and standard was higher than the government agencies where students are given opportunities in how fast they learn.
“This demonstrates that the academy staffs have produced in what is witnessed by students with confident and without fear reading and performing in front of the audience.
“This is a bonus for the academy and the parents who have enrolled their children at the school.”
She mentioned of two mothers who took up adult literacy class to upgrade and improve their English.
Hailai said Shirley Korona, 46, from Yangoru and Janety Otto, 38; from Maprik in East Sepik, had shown improvement in English.
She said academy certificates were also presented for the first semester.
