School leavers warned

Letters

I AM appealing to school leavers and semi-educated youths to be very careful when enrolling in privately-run schools.
I am a victim of one of the private schools.
I enrolled in a privately-run school in Port Moresby for an eight-week plant-operating course.
We did only four weeks of theory on safety hazards and were supposed to go for practical lessons for another four weeks. We did only one day of the practical lessons.
With these we were graduated.
I find this unfair and uncalled for.
My dreams of becoming a qualified plant operator was shattered.
I therefore would like to put to light such schools that are established with the aim of raking in money.
I hope the relevant authorities check out such institutions and take appropriate action.
