School opens two staff houses

THE performance of teachers will improve when there is change for better living conditions, contributing to the improvement of students learning, according to a district administrator. 

Lae district administrator Robin Callistus made this remark when opening two staff houses at Busu Secondary School in Lae, Morobe, last Friday.

The district administrator also told the students that K300,000 had been approved by the joint district planning and the budget priority committee to build a classroom and work would commence at the end of this month by a contractor approved by the provincial supply and tenders board.

The provincial education division has allocated K500,000 from its budget to assist the school build two more staff houses and two ablution blocks.

Callistus said education and health were the most import aspects of human development.
