School project to get boost

THE Wawin National High School in Morobe will be receiving K1 million from the Government for its water supply project, according to principal Pal Pu.
Pu said this was promised to the school by Education Department secretary Dr Uke Kombra during a visit last year.
“K1 million has been approved and is ready to be released to the school for the project to start,” he said.
Pu said the delay was in the processes involved in the project for it be completed.
He said the water supply from the well was not enough.
“This caused low pressure and water supply to some areas in the school are not effective,” he said.
Pu said the school could rehabilitate the existing supply from the well or build a new water supply from the nearby river.
