AN international women’s organisation in Goroka, Eastern Highlands, has donated an e-learning kit to the East Goroka Primary School.
Soroptimist International president Nicola Daniel and executive Josepha Supa presented the e-library software to head teacher Maike Keiguma.
Daniel, a former teacher, said e-learning was like a complete library in the computer which was convenient for students.
Daniel said Soroptimist International was founded by three women in the United States of America to be the voice of women in the world. It has branches in Port Moresby, Lae and Ramu.
“Recently, we brought it to Goroka and to date have 22 members,” she said.
“We are focused on education and health programmes. We gave birth kits to the labour ward at the Goroka Hospital.”
