School runs 2 curriculums for students

Education

THE Institute of Christian Academy (ICA) School in Port Moresby runs two curriculums for students, the national curriculum and the accelerated Christian education curriculum, principal Tobias Nangunduo says.
He said students and parents were given the choice to choose which curriculum to take after grade five.
Nangunduo said the school had affiliations with universities abroad, but because of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the chances of his students going abroad were limited.
He urged his students to make good choices after their national examinations using the national online application system.
The school also had four pioneer grade 12 students who sat for the Written Expression exam recently.
Susannah Asang, a grade 12 student at ICA, said she was happy to have completed her Written Expression exam and looked forward to sitting for her national exams in October.
She thanked her teachers for instilling in her both Christian and educational values and knowledge that she would carry with her.
The school has recently acquired land at Kennedy Estate in 7-Mile and is currently developing the facilities there for its students.
