DE La Salle Secondary School in Port Moresby will host its cultural show at the end of this month.

It is organised by the school’s Student Representative Council.

The theme for the cultural show is “Respect for culture and the environment”.

Teacher Nathan Napkai said the purpose was to raise funds to build a new audio visual room for the students.

“The school’s last cultural show was held in 2010 and the money raised was used to buy a 25-seater school bus for the students who still use it to this day,” Napkai said.

He said students would be putting up a variety of activities focusing on the theme for the show, including traditional singing and dancing.

Napkai said more than 20 cultural groups would be performing on the day with some provinces, such as Central having, more than one dancing group.
