THE water supply problem at a school in Lae will be a thing of the past after BNBM Hardware donated a water tank.
The hardware company donated a 9000 litre Tuffa tank to the Living Water Christian School at Independence Drive, Kamkumung.
Hardware branch manager Roger Luo said the company under its client relations initiative decided to give something back to the school.
“You have been our good customer so we decided that we will assist when we heard your request,” Luo said.
“As a company, we do lots of donations. We donated 12 Tuffa tanks and a fridge to the Highlands recently.
“We have done many similar donations in Port Moresby. For Lae, this is the first.”
School head teacher Grace Binabe thanked the company for its assistance and said the tank would be used as an alternative water source to the council’s water supply.
“We use to experience a lot of water disruptions so this tank will assist us address this problem,” Binabe said.
“Usually when water doesn’t come, we send the children home early.”
