TRAINING students to become good leaders of tomorrow should be the priority alongside their academic work, national director of Tertiary Students Christian Fellowship (TSCF) Pastor Tom Lepatu says.
Lepatu has called upon the educational institutions and churches to work together to shape the moral character of young men and women studying on different campuses throughout Papua New Guinea.
“We have to be intentional in training future leaders today so that when they grow up then they will employ and utilise the skills and knowledge that they have acquired during such training.
“Since everything rises and falls on leadership, the training is very critical and significant to produce the type of leaders for tomorrow.
“Leaders are made through a process and many things are caught when they grow into manhood and womanhood.
“TSCF has been conducting leadership training throughout the country in high schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities through our Pottery Project Initiative.”
