Schools get food items

EIGHT high schools in Central have received K200,000 worth of food supplies from the provincial government and Governor Kila Haoda.
The schools which received the food according to their student numbers were Mainohaina, Kwikila, Laloki, Tapini, Mt Diamond, Iarowari, Kupiano and Yanu.
The food was distributed to schools depending on the number of students they had.
The purchase of the food supplies was facilitated through the office of the provincial administrator Gei Guni.
A cheque for K200,000 was presented to the operations manager of SVS Limited, Orlando Avinante for the payment of the food supplies.
Avinante said his staff worked around the clock to ensure that the schools turned up quickly to pick up their share of food.
The schools have all thanked the governor for the assistance.
Governor Haoda said leaders must respond when people and especially students were in need of assistance.
