A SOLAR panel installation programme for electricity supply in schools in the Anglimp-South Waghi electorate in Jiwaka is a major relief for the school management, thanks to local MP Joe Koim and Governor Paias Wingti. The programme was counter-funded by Wingti and Koim for the electorate.

The installation team is covering all schools in the electorate.

Western Highlands provincial education superintendent William Aua and high and secondary school inspector Martin Marr described the project as very significant.

They said the project would help teachers as they would have light in their homes to do their job well.  “I’m calling on schools to look after the solar for future use,” Marr said.
