These schools took part in the quiz during book week from Aug 5-9.

Jubilee Secondary School, St Joseph Catholic School, Port Moresby International School, Port Moresby Grammar School and Marianville Secondary School were rewarded with prizes.

Library advisor Mary Warus congratulated schools that took part.

She said the event was a significant one in which a lot of schools had been involved in since the quiz started.

She said the theme for this year,  “Learn to Read and Read to Learn”  encouraged children to read and to understand the importance of it.

Warus encouraged other schools to join the competition.

Jubilee Secondary School was announced the winner for this year’s quiz competition with first timers St Joseph Catholic Secondary School the runner up.
