MANY corporate organisations and business houses are busy distributing Fun Run T-shirts to schools throughout Papua New Guinea in preparation for the Aug 22 event.
In Port Moresby and Lae, Institute of Business Studies (IBS) handed out 2,200 T-shirts, which cost more than K3,000, to five schools in Port Moresby and the Correctional Services.
IBS had been supporting the annual Fun Run fundraiser for 13 years.
Deputy director of IBS Sadiq Ali said the institute had been a big supporter of the Fun Run to raise funds for the Sports Federation and Sports Foundation of PNG.
“This gesture shows our continuous commitment in assisting sports in PNG,” he said.
The recipients were Badihagwa, Pom Grammar, Mt Diamond, Port Moresby National High School, Kopkop College and CS recruits at Bomana.
The schools thanked IBS for the T-shirts.
In Lae, another major corporate sponsor UMW donated T-shirts to Milfordhaven Primary, Igam Primary and the AOG Christian Academy.
