PORT Moresby School Soccer Association will hold its U14 and U16 finals at two schools tomorrow.
The U14 boys will play at Koroboro International, while the U14 girls and U16s take the field at the Port Moresby International School.
According to Port Moresby School Soccer secretary John Agovai, the finals were to supposed be held last Saturday at the Administration College (Adcol) in Waigani last Saturday, but were called off over payment issues.
“They raised the concern that we didn’t pay, which is true because we wanted to be transparent so we requested an invoice which they didn’t provide in time,” Agovai said.
“So we got in touch with Koroboro and POMIS, and they agreed to provide the venue for the finals for U14 and U16 for this weekend.
“The other reason why we cannot use Adcol is because they’re growing grass on the field right now and the venue condition there is not suitable for us.
Agovai confirmed that the U18 division would not have finals because there were not enough numbers.
“For U18, we will just calculate the points,” Agovai said.
“The top three teams will be awarded which we will announce next weekend after the U14 and U16 grand finals.”
