LAMANA Dockers finally succumbed to their first defeat of the season in the Port Moresby AFL competition.
And the team responsible for inflicting the first loss for the wharfies was the hot rampaging MoniPlus Taurama Suns.
Suns coach Cornelius Popau said his boys did “little things correct” for a confidence boosting 7-6-48 to 4-7-31 victory at the Murray Barracks Oval on Saturday.
The Dockers patron Dominic Kaumu and club president Loi Bakani also gave credit to the Taurama boys adding that their boys did not perform to expectation.
“There is no excuse for the Dockers to have lost this match but it would be unwise to take the pride away from the Suns, who have been playing consistently” Kaumu said.
