The Bougainville Mission of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church recently conducted a week-long outreach in the mountains of Rotokas in Central Bougainville.
The programme ran from Sept 30 to Oct 7.
It was part of the total member involvement (TMI) programme of the church.
The outreach was under the name Mission to Rotokas and involved 700 SDA members from Bougainville.
A youth who took part in the outreach, Dhino Magihe, told The National that the purpose of the outreach was to show God’s love through acts of kindness.
Church members donated buckets filled with household goods to every family in Tokarau and Ruruvu villages in the Rotokas area.
They also renovated a village aid post which was rundown for several years and built a water supply.
