Sea disaster case a shock

WHAT is going on?
A month ago I commented on the injustice being done to the people of this country when police fail to submit their files to the court for the court to use in a case against a former finance secretary, resulting in the case being thrown out for lack of evidence.
Now, one of the biggest cases that saddened our people and brought many to tears when mv Rabaul Queen sank off the coast of Morobe six years ago has been dropped. Why?
For how long can the people of this country sit back and watch helplessly? Those whose loved ones died need answers.
So much money has been spent on this case by the government, and for it to end up the way it has is a slap in the face.
This occurred on Feb 2, 2012, when 172 Papua New Guineans lost their lives.
Where are our watchdogs, like the Attorney-General’s Office, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Justice Minister’s Office? What have they to say?
The people of this country should not be silent when something as important as this is lost because of negligence.
Someone has to be blamed and held responsible. This case needs to be re-opened so that someone pays for all the lives lost.
