Secretary charged with attempting to pervert course of justice

PROVINCIAL and Local Level Government secretary Dickson Guina has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and will appear in a committal court soon.
This was confirmed by the director of the National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate Chief Supt Mathew Damaru yesterday.
Guina was granted bail for K1,000 after being detained at the Boroko police station.
It is alleged that Guina had suspended officers in the department who were witnesses in the investigation into the misappropriation of K64,754.99 in the department.
Police had earlier charged accounts officer Judy Guina Lamo, 39, from Alepa village, Rigo in Central with one count of misappropriating K64,754.99.
She was recently granted bail by the committal court in Waigani.

  • This culprit is trying to hide his corrupt deals. He is trying to steal government funds under the shield of his position. Simply remove him from the office with his so called accounts officer and have them prosecuted. Em no company blo bubu blo ol! Corrupt crooks.
