Security firms construct classrooms

Education

PALADIN Group is partnering with Kingfisher Security to deliver four new fully-equipped classrooms for schools in Manus as part of its commitment to supporting communities where it operates.
The new classrooms will be given to Tingou Primary School, M’Buani Elementary School, Nuwok School and Loamat School (Rambutyo Island) which are all located in remote areas of Manus.
The initiative was supported by Manus Governor Charlie Benjamin in keeping with his commitment to improve health and education services across the province.
Kingfisher are constructing the prefabricated classrooms to ensure they are easy to transport and set up in remote locations, while Paladin Group managed the procurement and provision of the school furniture for the classrooms including 160 tables, 320 chairs, 12 teacher desks and eight whiteboards and chalkboards.
Paladin Group chief executive and managing director David Saul said: “Our support for schools is example of our commitment to support and transfer skills and knowledge to the communities where we serve.
“These new facilities will improve local children’s educational outcomes and have a positive impact on the community for generations to come.”
