AN information-sharing seminar conducted by Rohan Smith, of Smith Immigration and Education Services, in Lae, on Tuesday aimed to help students wanting to study in Australia.
Principal Rohan Smith visited the Lae Christian Academy and Lae International School before conducting the seminar at the Lae International Hotel. “This is the first time we came to Lae and the turnout was very positive. People are showing interest in what we are doing,” Smith said.
Smith Immigration and Education Services helps connect PNG students to institutions in Australia. It negotiates on behalf of those willing to study there and make necessary arrangements for them.
Smith has also visited Mt Hagen.
“With these enrolment and visa services available, we also provide assistance with course advice and selection for the students in PNG,” he said.
“The SIES will help anyone regardless of age who wants to study in Australia and has financial resources including students, graduates and matured students.”
He said Australian qualifications were recognised around the world and improved one’s eligibility for employment anywhere.
Graduates may also access visas to remain in Australia and gain valuable work experience upon the completion of their studies.
“For those not completing grade 12, SIES can help find your preferred programme. But generally those completing grade 12 and 10 are encouraged,” Smith said.
