TRAINEE pastors at the Martin Luther Seminary in Lae have elected their Student Representative Council president.
He is Immanuel Wenge, 30, from Baindoang village in the Nabak sub-district of Nawaeb district.
He is the nephew of Evangelical Lutheran church Bishop Giegere and Morobe Governor Luther Wenge.
The young Wenge polled 24 votes, five more than runner-up and sitting president Jack Kenenga, and 11 more than Gideon Gigmai.
Wenge, a third year student would head the council that has Henry Pyasal as vice-president and Reuben Manaseh as secretary and Kawage Onguglo as treasurer.
After his election, Wenge said he would work closely with the seminary’s administration and for the benefit of the students.
