A WEWAK-based private contractor, Sepik Builders, is still  waiting for overdue payments of over K34,000 from the Wewak district for renovation and maintenance work it carried in October last year.
Director Ivan Kami said he was given the project last year with the agreement signed by former district administrator Martin Maingu, who later notified the current administrator of the deal.
He said they had done their part in carrying out the maintenance work on the office toilets and office but “the payments have not been sorted out as agreed”.
He said it was almost the end of the year and public accounts would close soon.
He called on the district administration to fast-track payments before then.
Kami said he was not the only contractor waiting to get paid for work done.
He said there were others who were still waiting for the administration to make the payments.
