Sepik group learns planning

STAFF of the Marienberg Hill Resources Development Ltd in Wewak, East Sepik, took part in a workshop on its development plans.
The two-day workshop covered organisational development and strategic planning, and strategic leadership and governance.
According to facilitator Development Communication Solutions (DCS) Ltd, the aim of the workshop was to help the participants to build and strengthen their organisational development capabilities.
DCS chief executive Nimo Walter Kama said his company wanted to help resource owners or organisations who have worked hard to improve the people’s livelihood in the village.
“As employees of the organisation you have to focus on development and strategic planning so you can assist and improve the livelihood of the ordinary people.”
Meanwhile, the managing director of Marienberg Hill Resources Ltd, Moses Sakurai Gawi, said MHRD is a landowner company representing the landowners from Marinenberg Hill within the Marienberg LLG.
Gawi said that the role of the MHRD was to engage in a partnership with brilliant investments Ltd on logging and agriculture projects through a SABL agreement.
