Service delivery committee for Simbu province

CHIEF Secretary Manasupe Zurenouc is in Simbu province to launch a provincial monitoring and coordination committee on the implementation of service deliveries.
Mr Zurenouc travelled to Kundiawa to officially launch the programmme under the Provincial and Local Level Services Monitoring Authority (PLLSMA).
The committee was initiated by the sub-national strategy within the Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs (DPLLA).
The committee will be the responsibility of provincial administrator Joe Kunda who will coordinate functions and performances of national agencies in the province.
Mr Zurenouc said the main aim was to properly coordinate and monitor performances of departments and statutory agencies in the province by bringing them together under a service delivery mechanism.
“It will assist and provide guidance in planning and implementation of approved budgets, discuss key issues and strategies regarding funding constraints in the implementation processes.
“Selected developments will be coordinated to improve service deliveries, which will be the main tasks for the committee,” Mr Zurenouc said.
Mr Kunda said he  would take the Chief Secretary to visit the deteriorated section of Okuk Highway at Mindima and various other sections today.
