MOROBE Governor Luther Wenge has told provincial administrators that service delivery mechanisms had to be improved.
All provincial administrators, senior Government officers, university academics were at day one of the three-day conference at the Lae International Hotel yesterday.
The conference was being hosted by the Chief Secretary Manasupe Zurenuoc and is aimed at aligning the public service to meet requirements of Vision 2050.
In his opening address, Governor Luther Wenge said the country’s service delivery mechanism was not working.
He said what needed to be done was the need for all Papua New Guineans to understand the country’s Vision 2050 and have a strong desire to work hard for the future.
He issued the challenge to members of the Central Agencies Coordinating Committee (CACC), secretaries, provincial administrators and all public servants to be positive as the success of the vision depended on them as drivers and implementers of the plan.
The theme of the conference is “Making the Papua New Guinea Vision 2050 work – The Role of Provincial
Governments in securing immediate and full operationalisation and implementation of the PNG Vision 2050.”
