JR Holdings, through its Skowhegan Gumur service station, in partnership with Bank South Pacific, has opened an ATM in Kokopo to meet the growing number of customers.

Skowhegan Gumur service station is the newest service station in East New Britain.

BSP area manager Albert Burua said the ATM was in addition to the 11 already installed in the province.

“Banking is becoming more accessible in the province with the help of local service providers and businesses like JR Holdings,” he said.

Burua said it was a “demonstration of the community taking ownership of bank services”.

He said it was important for communities to work with BSP to ensure such services were provided for the people.

JR Holdings managing director John Rodrigues said the company was “happy” with the opening of the bank facility.

“The opening of the machine renews our relationship with the people and the bank,” he said.

“It also strengthens the partnership we already have.

“Although we are in different industries, we have one goal and that is to serve the people of this province.

“It makes life easier for the people.”
