Services in Rigo unfair

Letters

OBSERVATIONS from village leaders, community members and other individuals in the communities in Rigo, Central, reveal that services delivered are unfair and self-centred.
A leader is elected into parliament to represent all the people in the district and not only deliver services to people who reside closer to government services such as roads and electricity supply.
Half of the population are still suffering in the thick jungles of Rigo and many people are dying without accessing services such as health and education.
Road connection is completely ignored.
Rigo is one of the last districts in PNG in terms of service delivery and we are still way behind.
We are going backwards instead of forward.
Some experienced and God-fearing advisers are needed in our MP’s office to provide correct information about people’s needs.
We need two or three new advisers that properly inform the MP about people’s needs.

  • Your mps should prioritise much needed services equally and fairly to the rural population, however mps should know what’s best for his voters, rather than listening to greedy and selfish so call advisors.
