WHAT has happened to the calls for setting up public CCTVs in Port Moresby?

It is now more urgent because of the increasing levels of graffiti and vandalism.

Do a cost-benefit analysis and believe me, the benefits will outweigh the costs in the long run.

If nobody wants to do it, I suggest Telikom set it up and lease it to the police.

This will enable it to kill three birds with one stone; it will protect its assets (optic and copper cables), it will be a means to diversify its investments and it will assist the police in nabbing these petty offenders.

Other organisations will definitely seek this service to protect their assets and that is how Telikom can make money.
