Seven lucky winners get K600 shopping vouchers

SEVEN runners in the July Trukai Olympic Fun Run were lucky winners of seven K600 worth shopping vouchers yesterday at the Nationwide Draw conducted at Courts in Port Moresby.
Present to witness the draw were PNG Sports Federation and Olympic Committee deputy secretary-general Auvita Rapilla, Courts warehouse manager David Kedea, Trukai Marketing representatives and Courts human resouces manager Naomi Kedea, who also drew the winners.
Winners came from entries through the indemnity forms which came in the fun run packets from all centres that participated.
Rapilla thanked sponsors Trukai Industries Limited for their support of the Olympic Day Run and Courts PNG for their sponsorship of the vouchers.
She also urged all participating centres to send in their indemnity forms for the chance to go into the draw for prizes.
The seven winners announced were Sydney Kuk of PO Box 1072, Boroko; Pora Lohia of PO Box 852, Port Moresby; Kuncy Kason, PO Box 258, Boroko; Kairi Paimuru, PO Box 6454, Boroko; Alex Larios Keali, C/-Airlines PNG, PO Box 170, Boroko; Eunice Kivan, PO Box 7922, Boroko; and Natasha Makeb, C/-Alan John, PNG Airports Ltd, PO Box 1466.
All winners are asked to call  the PNG Sports Federation and Olympic Committee (PNGSFOC) on the 3rd floor of Tisa Haus, Waigani, with an identification card (ID), a driver’s licence or birth certificate/clinic book and collect their Courts vouchers.
The 2009 Trukai Olympic Day Fun Run marked the ninth year of Trukai Industries Limited’s backing of the run, and the 25th since they first started in 1983, also netting a profit of K850,500.
This year’s run was used to drive the ‘HIV and AIDS’ awareness, and had the message on all t-shirts.
Champion North Queensland Cowboys fullback Matt Bowen and teammate Ty Williams were invited for the run.
