Shame on Somare, Wararu
The National, Friday 24th Febuary 2012
I AM saddened by the actions of Angoram MP Arthur Somare and East Sepik Governor Peter Wararu, who were behind the attack on Task Force Sweep officers investigating corruption allegations in Wewak.
What were they trying to prove with their anti-leadership move?
The police should undertake a thorough investigation and prosecute them because no one is above the law.
It is an embarrassment to the international community if the government does not take this seriously.
I also call on the relevant authorities, East Sepik PPC and concerned individuals present at the time of the incident to provide facts to the government for its pursuits on the matter.
Let us do away with political differences and help weed out corruption for the betterment of PNG and future generations.
