THE East New Britain tourism authority master plan should be promoted to all stakeholders for their awareness and recommendations, authority chairman Ron Kuuk says.
Kuuk said it was important for the public to take ownership of tourism for their involvement and investment.
He said the media, community awareness and strategic marketing were critical to align with strategic partners and stakeholders.
He said the 17 per cent increase of visitors to ENB in 2018 was encouraging news.
Kuuk called on the ENB government and stakeholders to work together to develop tourism in the province.
He said donors such as IFC and World Bank had supported East New Britain in building infrastructure and related tourism business services including product development.
Kuuk said he was passionate about tourism and believed that province had great potential.
He said the week-long awareness would help spread the passion of tourism to every community in the province.
