Ship crew do safety drill to stay in shape

THE crew of the Ramu NiCo Management vessel mv Carrie conducted a safety drill that including the launching of a life raft at sea last Thursday.
The captain of mv Carrie, Charles Buai, and Joseph Suad, conducted the safety drill with the crew at Basamuk Bay in Racoast, Madang.
The drill included how to put on a life-jacket, how to safely jump into the sea and the launching of the life-raft.
Video footage of the execise in Basamuk Bay would be shown onboard mv Carrie during its travels across the Astrolabe Bay.
Mv Carrie has over the years been providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Raicoast who faced medical complications and needed assistance.
Buai said the vessel had on numerous occasions helped transport pregnant mothers from the Basamuk area to Madang Modilon General Hospital for emergency care.
