Local organisers are looking for assistance to stage a cultural show in Kutubu, Southern Highlands.
Local organising committee deputy chairman Andrew Igimabo told The National yesterday that the Kutubu Kundu and Digaso Festival would be a big event.
Igimabo said a fundraising dinner was planned for Friday in Port Moresby.
“We are extending our invitation to businesshouses and individuals,” he said.
“The dinner will be held at the Holiday Inn and will allow organisers to prepare for this year’s event.
“The tickets are one sale from K500 per person and K5000 for a table of 10.”
The Kundu and Digaso Festival celebrates the importance of Kutubu Kundu and Digaso Oil and plays a vital role in safeguarding traditional practices and the diverse biodiversity of the Lake Kutubu region.
“My Song, My Dance, My Story, Saving My Home for Tomorrow”  are the themes for this year’s event to be held in Kutubu on Sept 22 -23.
