Shut down Gordon’s Market at once

Gordons Market is like the world trade centre for almost every opportunist.
Though it is located close to a police station and barracks, it is the worst ever market in PNG, perhaps in the world.
There is no such thing as safety here.
All the culprits have a certain language and a planned network, which keep them in contact.
They know how, when and where to steal, fight, rape or even kill a person.
They do it without fear as their colleagues are there to always cover for them.
They also have a strong invisible relationship with the police as well.
It is time the authorities concerned do something to protect the public.
Governor Powes Parkop should close the market right away before it goes to the dogs.
There are daily occurrences of rapes, ethnic clashes, hold-ups, pickpocketing and drunkards threatening the public.
There is no respect for the public, it is not safe for women to travel alone and pornographic movies as well as drugs are sold and distributed.
It is a fearful place.
I strongly call on the NCD governor, the police and other leaders to temporarily shut the market down for the safety of the people.
