Silence over funds is deafening

Letters, Normal

The National – Tuesday, July 5, 2011

I REFER to the missing funds from the Depart-ment of National Planning and allegations of corruption.
The amount of money which disappeared within three months is unbelievable.
So far, only Bulolo MP Sam Basil has commented on it.
It is not normal for everyone, including ministers and TIPNG, to remain silent over this.
Where is the minister, Paul Teinsten?
Has he gone into hiding?
He must come out and tell the people of PNG whether his secretary was telling the truth or not.
The member for Pomio sacked the previous secretary and replaced him with Joseph Lelang.
Since then, Lelang has done a lot for the department and he does not deserve to be treated like an outcast.
