SIMBU Governor Noah Kool’s initiative to empower women has been widely welcomed in the province.
Women in Politics president Cecilia Dre Kimagl described the initiative as coming from a “government with vision and action ready to deliver”.
Kimagl thanked Kool for realising women’s potential.
She urged women take advantage of the initiative to improve their living standards.
Women’s Council president Martha Kaiun said Simbu women had been fighting to address issues affecting them.
“The women will support and work with the governor and administrator Joe Kunda to implement the Vision 2050 and its development principles,” she said.
Tobia Baka, from Nilkande LLG, welcomed the initiative to support women through partcipation in small projects.
